Three Tips On How To Power Down Recharge + Reboot

Your phone is flashing a battery icon, ultimately, attempting to make the user aware of the critically low battery. What do you do? Some people will quickly find an outlet while others will ignore the low battery indicator and continue on with their day. Ironically, when a phone powers down, the phone is typically put on the charger, instantly. In life, we sometimes ignore similar signs from our bodies. Why do we wait until the last minute before recognizing that we need some self-care ? Let’s explore a few ways to power down, recharge and reboot.

UnPlug

Unplugging is a major challenge for many people. Not only do individuals use social media for entertainment, for some, social media is their job, literally. Trust me, as a journalist that uses social media for work, it all can be very overwhelming and at times distracting. I have found several benefits from unplugging once in a while.

Focus On Positivity.

With everything that is going on in the world today, we need more positive energy and vibes. What you can do is take a piece of paper or notebook and write down anything positive. It can also be something that you are grateful for as well. Doing this exercise will allow your mind to relax, focus on positive things and reduce stress.

Do Things You Enjoy

Everyone should find the time to do the things that they love. No matter if those things include watching movies on Netflix, playing an electronic game or spending time outside, self-care is critical to a balanced life.

No two bodies are the same. Recharging looks different for everyone. No matter how you recharge, do it often.
