Exfoliation Really Is A “Thing”: 3 Reasons I Exfoliate

The American Academy of Dermatology Association describes exfoliation as the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of your skin. Let’s dive into a three reasons I exfoliation and why I believe exfoliation is good for your face and body.

UnClog Those Pores

Exfoliation helps unclog the pores. Unclogging pores means less blackheads, whiteheads and everything in between. This leads to glowy and healthy skin!

Healthline.com explained that exfoliation prepares the skin for other products. Removing some of the dead skin from the top layer of skin so other products can do their job better is a great reason to exfoliate.

Circulation

Adding exfoliation to the routine can lead to a boost of circulation which leads to less puffiness and redness in the long run.  An article by The Truth Beauty Company talks about the benefits of exfoliation and circulation.
