From Lupus Warrior to Beauty Mogul: Cori Broadus’s Unstoppable Journey

Welcome to another addition to our mini-series, let’s dive in. PaSH is centered around sharing inspiring stories, breaking down stereotypes, and sharing the authentic, behind-the-scenes moments that make entrepreneurs so amazing. Let’s dive into, “From Lupus Warrior to Beauty Mogul: Cori Broadus’s Unstoppable Journey”.

Meet Cori Broadus

Cori Broadus, daughter of music icon Snoop Dogg, is carving out her legacy with The Choc Factory—a beauty brand that celebrates self-love, imperfections, and the power of authenticity. More than just a lip line, The Choc Factory is a movement reminding women that their flaws are what make them beautiful. A lupus warrior, new mother, and stroke survivor, Cori has turned her challenges into purpose, using her platform to inspire others through faith, resilience, and realness. With her bold vision and unwavering transparency, she’s proving that beauty isn’t about perfection; it’s about embracing the journey.

What’s the most unexpected lesson you’ve learned since starting your business?

That not everything has to be perfect—ironically enough. What matters most is loving what you’re doing. When you put love and genuine effort into your work, that energy comes back to you in the most unexpected ways, often through the most amazing people.

What’s the craziest idea you’ve ever had for your business that actually worked?

Encouraging people to showcase their flaws and insecurities to the world—and proving that those very things are what make them truly beautiful.

What’s one stereotype about entrepreneurs that you’d love to break?

That it’s always lonely at the top. If you do it right, you can bring your friends and family with you. Winning doesn’t have to be a solo race—unless that’s the race you choose to run.

What’s your go-to mantra or quote when the going gets tough?

“Why not me?”

I’ve struggled with asking God and myself, “Why me?” Why am I sick with lupus? Why was my baby in the NICU? Why did I have a stroke at 24? Why do my seasons feel so heavy while others seem to have it easier? But then I remind myself God calls me for a reason. I have a voice, a platform, and a testimony that can help others. My pain has purpose, my story has weight, and my impact is bigger than me. So instead of asking why me, I choose to say why not me?

What’s one piece of advice you wish you could give your younger self before starting this journey?

Just because your journey doesn’t look pretty doesn’t mean it won’t lead to beautiful things. Keep going. Don’t let the world distract you from your own path.

If your business could have a reality show, what would it be called and what would it be about?

CHOC’s Jet 2 Holiday—a fun, unapologetic ride through beauty, life, and the behind-the-scenes of building a brand that celebrates realness.

In a world full of trends, how do you keep your business authentic and genuine to your vision?

By keeping it real, raw, and relatable. People connect to honesty. At the end of the day, we’re all human. Nobody’s perfect—and that’s the most authentic thing you can show.

Can you describe a moment when you felt like giving up and how you pushed through?

Honestly, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t feel like giving up. But God is one hell of a coach. He reminds me every single day that I have so much to live for and so much more to do.
