If your business had a theme song, what would it be and why?
Vigilante Shit by Taylor Swift. This anthem didn’t just inspire our company name—it set the vibe for everything we do. Picture this: Our former boss turned into a full-blown white-collar criminal, and the agency we had poured our hearts and souls into crumbled. But instead of letting it break us, we grabbed our capes (metaphorically) and Vigilante PR was born—led by two unstoppable women on a mission to help good people thrive, spread love, and make things right.

What’s your go-to mantra or quote when the going gets tough?
Every day, we kick things off with a rally cry: “Vigilante on 3!” (Or just “V on 3” for short when we’re feeling extra cool). So far, it’s been our good luck charm, bringing in amazing clients, tons of media love, and all the good karma vibes.
If your business were a fashion trend, what would it be and why?
Anything sparkly. As Taylor says: “Best believe [we’re] still bejeweled,” and we like to add: “We’ll make your whole brand shimmer.” ✨
What’s one misconception people have about your industry that drives you crazy?
People think PR is just writing press releases and chatting with reporters, but it’s so much more. We’re the behind-the-scenes magic makers—shaping company messaging, protecting brand reputations, providing media training, managing crises, coordinating social media strategy, and producing endless amounts of copy—so much copy. If it involves words, strategy, or keeping things from going off the rails, we’re on it.
Can you share the story behind starting your business and what inspired you to leap?
After leading an award-winning PR team together for the last five years, our careers were turned upside down when troubling revelations about our agency’s CEO came to light, ultimately leading to the agency’s collapse. Instead of letting that be the end of our story, we channeled our frustration into fuel and created something better. With our experience, passion, and a “watch us thrive” mindset, we launched Vigilante PR. It was the ultimate glow-up moment, and we’ve been unstoppable ever since!
How do you handle competition, and what sets your business apart from others in your field?
After years in the agency grind, we saw all the ways the industry was dropping the ball—and decided to flip the script. No more junior staff fumbling through your account; we do the strategic heavy lifting ourselves, including media outreach and research (it’s not grunt work—it’s where the magic happens!). Forget cookie-cutter retainers and long-term contracts; we roll with flexible budgets and custom PR plans that focus on real wins, not just checking boxes. Whether you’re launching a product, need killer campaign ideas, or full-on PR support, we’re all about building real connections, delivering meaningful results, and letting our work do the talking.
What is one lesson you’ve learned through your entrepreneurial journey that you think everyone should know?
Relationships are everything, so always bring your A-game! You never know when you’ll cross paths with a former colleague, boss, client, or even a journalist down the road. Treat everyone with respect and deliver your best work, and those connections can turn into opportunities when you least expect them.
