The Official Black Influencer Weekend and Black Girl Digital Awards Celebrates the Impact of Multicultural Influencers in the Creator Economy.
November 8, 2024 – Atlanta, GA – BDG Media successfully kicked off its inaugural Black Influencer Weekend from November 1-3,2024, which included its impact summit and third annual influencer award show celebrating the impact of multi-cultural influencers in the creator economy.
Patrick Starr, founder and licensed esthetician, was this year’s keynote speaker and winner of the Legacy Builder Award.
BDG’s Black Influencer Weekend will return next year to continue its mission forward, empowering the fastest-growing community of creators to create, connect, convert, and amplify their content while learning key tools to assist in educating, entertaining and captivating their audience members.
BDG’s global community support from multicultural influencers achieved a digital footprint exceeding 150 million views on all social platforms.

The Black Influencer Weekend, celebrated the influence of black influencers in digital media and their impact on the creator economy. This year Latoya T. Bond (founder of the BBM Agency,) and Latoya Shambo (founder of Black Girl Digital,) joined forces for this powerful three day event on the heels of an official company merger. By partnering with Walt Disney World Resort the summit went seamlessly, educating creatives on the creator economy and honoring the work of prominent influencers.

Panels
The panels featured top influencers and executives to explore the challenges black creators face in digital spaces. Different panel discussed things such as brand partnerships, personal branding, and the importance of building a community.
Creator Marketplace
The Creator Marketplace showcased products and services from over 20 brands. Attendees were able to network and participate in various activations and photo ops.
Black Girl Digital Awards & Winners
The Black Girl Digital Awards showcased the significant role Black influencers play within the creator economy. By celebrating their contributions, Black Girl Digital showcases the greater need for recognition and support of black influencers.
