Tee-Owels is the ultra soft, innovative and lightweight, hair towel solution, curly and natural hair enthusiasts, have been waiting for. Made of organic cotton t-shirt material, the smooth texture dries hair free from friction, frizz and breakage- unlike harsh and heavy bath towels.
Founded in 2017, by Liz Girolamo, Tee-Owels was created with all the different skills Girolamo acquired as a businesswoman, esthetician and entrepreneur. Girolamo felt there was room in the hair care realm for some serious leveling-up, especially in the hair towel space. Liz saw a future that included better hair care options for curly and textured hair types.
“Once I learned that women were putting t-shirts on their head to dry their hair, (myself included at that point), I decided there needed to be a better option for us,” commented Liz. “I saw a spot in the industry that was falling short, and I was passionate about contributing to that. That was my opportunity and I jumped on it.”
Tee-Owels is here to support the people whom have suffered through using a heavy bath towel to dry their hair and ended up with hair feeling drier and more damaged, and even found broken pieces of hair left behind on the rough towel texture.
