Kinky, Curly, Coily Hair: Try These Two Great Products

This is not my first attempt at being hashtag team natural. My kinky, curly, coily hair and I have gone on a journey. But, thanks, in large, to finding so much information on the internet and social media, I do believe I will stay natural for the rest of my life. Aside from all the communities, tips and tricks and vlogs centered around natural hair care, I can attribute my decision of staying natural to patience. Patience brought understanding and understanding my hair has allowed me to fall in love with my hair.

Falling in love with my hair has allowed me to speak its “love language”. Now that me and my hair understand each other, we have started to live our best lives! Here are two products that I am so happy I stumbled upon:

Wash Day

Depending on my mood, saying the words “wash day” can be equivalent to saying you want slap my baby. Seriously, this is no exaggeration. For me, the largest pain point that arises from wash day is the detailing process. Thankfully, my little sister loved me enough to send me the EZ Detangler Brush.

This tool is called a brush, but I think of it as many sets of combs put together with one handle. This simple, but unique product literally cuts detangling time down by half. The best part about this product is that you can turn the tool vertically or horizontally to achieve maximum efficiency, depending if you have knots or really tight sections.

Styling Your Hair

I try to keep the amount of products I put into my hair to a minimum. I have had a few horror stories in the past and besides, I don’t want to risk adding a product to my hair that has chemicals that will manipulate my curl pattern.

Definition

I was so excited when I learned that PaSH Magazine would be featuring a Black business owner in the hair care space, Elizabeth Davis of SheDavi. After reading the article, I had to give the brand a try. The SheDavi team sent a sample that literally changed the game for me (watch my review).

The “Wash-n-Go Styling Gel” left my hair defined, juicy and bouncy. Paired with a two strand twist, this product gave me definition and volume I have never seen before.
