Fractional Investing With The Freedom of Choice, Using Money With Moneeka Sawyer

In this fun Q&A, PäSH sits down with Moneeka Sawyer, also known as The Blissful Millionaire, to talk fractional investing, financial freedom, and building wealth without burnout. From breaking down barriers to embracing imperfect action, Moneeka shares why real estate can be both strategic and joyful. Consider this your permission slip to get curious and start smart.

Meet Moneeka Sawyer

Moneeka Sawyer is often described as one of the most blissful people you will ever meet.  But don’t confuse her big smile and infectious laugh with naivete. Her multi-million dollar real estate empire is just one example of her ability to strategize, organize, and implement big business plans.

Sawyer is the best-selling author of the book “Choose Bliss: The Power and Practice of Joy and Contentment,” which was recently honored with the very prestigious Woman of Impact Quill Award by Focus on Women Magazine.

She has been investing in real estate for over 20 years, so has worked through several different cycles of the market. Through her strategies, she has turned $10,000 into over $2,000,000, working only 5-10 hours per MONTH with very little stress.

PäSH: What initially drew you to real estate, and what problem where you hoping it would solve?

Moneeka Sawyer: I was drawn to real estate because it felt tangible, steady, and full of possibility, a way to build true financial freedom. I wanted cash flow that didn’t depend on my job, a hedge against inflation, and a vehicle to create retirement wealth. More than money, I wanted peace of mind: predictable income, control over my future, and the ability to align my investments with my values that matter most.

PäSH:When did you discover fractional investing, and why did it stand out?

Moneeka Sawyer: I discovered fractional investing after I’d already done a lot of whole-property deals and wanted more flexibility. What made it stand out was how it lowered the barrier to entry: smaller capital, professional management, and the freedom to diversify across markets and asset types without the headache of hands-on ownership. It felt like getting the upside of real estate with a lot less of the traditional challenges.

PäSH: How does fractional real estate fit your broader strategy, today?

Moneeka Sawyer: Fractional investing is a core diversification tool for me. It provides consistent cash flow, reduces concentration risk, and lets me allocate capital across many properties and markets. It’s ideal for layering steady passive income into a balanced portfolio while I pursue higher-touch and higher-growth opportunities elsewhere.

PäSH: What Barriers did fractional investing help you overcome?

Moneeka Sawyer: Financial: It removes the need for large down payments for single-property leverage. Time: it bypasses property management and day-to-day headaches. Knowledge: you can tap into the knowledge of expert sponsors and professional operators. For many women (and busy professionals), fractional deals make real estate accessible without needing years of hands-on learning or huge sums of cash.

PäSH: What would say to women who are curious but intimidated?

Moneeka Sawyer: Start with permission to be imperfect and curious. You don’t need to know everything.  You just need a plan, a little capital, and consistent action. Begin with education, lean on trusted operators or fractional platforms, and diversify small amounts to learn without risking your whole nest egg. Real estate is a long game; the best time to start is with one brave step. Trust yourself, ask good questions, and build momentum one smart, joyful step at a time.
