Former Corporate Engineer Turned Entrepreneur: Elizabeth Davis Shares Tips On How To Pivot

Change is inevitable. No matter how strongly we desire for things to stay exactly as they are, things will change. Elizabeth Davis, owner of Shedavi, offers a few tips on how to pivot within your business or within your career.

Find The Fuel For the Fire

Find something that you are passionate about, that you would do for free, that the world needs (for entrepreneurship or even in a new career path). Find the group of people where your expertise would be of value.

Draw a Map – In Pencil

Develop a roadmap from where you are now, to where you want to be. Give yourself a timeline to get started (more so a short to medium timeframe) for you to accomplish your goals.

Positivity Goes a Long Way

Work on your mindset and positivity to ensure that you are staying positive about the new career goals that you have set. This will help you through the tougher more challenging time when making decisions or when things do not go as planned.

Be Flexible

Allow yourself some flexibility in the journey, but be rigid in the destination.

Find Your Tribe

No one gets to the top by themselves. Create a village around yourself that would provide help and support. This can be both personal and professional individuals that can lend to your emotional, mental, and professional self.
