Imagine a world where Black-owned businesses don’t have to choose between gifting their families and investing in their future. That world is being built, one barter at a time.
Meet Nicole Murphy
Nicole Murphy, a visionary entrepreneur hailing from Washington, DC, proudly leads as the CEO of Barter Black®, a pioneering platform dedicated to empowering Black entrepreneurs and startup founders. Nicole’s relentless commitment to fostering equitable relationships and providing essential support for Black businesses to thrive has earned her recognition from Black Enterprise, Voyage Baltimore, and Rap Snacks. Her leadership within the entrepreneurial community is dedicated to the mission of driving success and innovation through the transformative power of Barter Black®.
Is Cash King
We live in an economy where “cash is king,” but the truth is, most people overlook a powerful currency they already have: their skills. That’s the philosophy behind Barter Black®, a tech-powered bartering platform built specifically to help Black-owned businesses grow and scale by exchanging products and services.
As the holidays approach and budgets tighten, this reality hits even harder. For many Black business owners, the decision isn’t just about what gifts to buy, it’s about whether they can afford that trademark filing, tax prep, or rebrand that could take their business to the next level. It’s a difficult trade-off, one that happens all year long but stings especially deep during the holiday season.
Barter Black® was designed to make sure no Black-owned business or business idea fails simply because of a lack of funding or the inability to hire. And this time of year, the platform becomes a lifeline.
Services Are Currency
Whether you’re in need of a virtual assistant to lighten your load, a CPA to get your books ready for tax season, or a designer to refresh your brand for the new year, you can find it on Barter Black® and pay with Barter Bucks℠. The platform doesn’t operate on direct exchanges. Instead, business owners list what they offer, assign a value in Barter Bucks (1 Barter Buck℠ = $1), and earn credit when other members purchase their service. They can then use that credit to purchase services from other members.
That’s not theory, it’s already happening. Over 15,000 Barter Bucks℠ have been exchanged so far, representing real services, real impact, and real support among Black-owned businesses who are finding ways to thrive together.
Join a Community
Every new member receives welcome Barter Bucks to get started, 250 for the Silver Plan and 500 for the Gold Plan, giving them immediate access to the ecosystem. But beyond the numbers, it’s the spirit of the platform that makes it special. Barter Black® is built on the gift of giving. It’s a community of collaboration where business owners aren’t just trading services, they’re uplifting each other.
This holiday season, Barter Black® is helping Black-owned businesses skip the sacrifice. You can have both: a thriving business and a meaningful holiday with your family.
Join the bartering community at barterblack.io and get the help you need without breaking the bank. Because your business and your peace of mind deserve to grow.
