Brains, Beauty and Keeping it “Real” Estate!

Welcome to another addition to our mini-series, let’s dive in.. PaSH is centered around sharing inspiring stories, breaking down stereotypes, and sharing the authentic, behind-the-scenes moments that make entrepreneurs so amazing. Let’s dive into, “Brains, Beauty and Keeping it “Real” Estate!”

Meet Janelle Jacques, an entrepreneur, wife and Queen. In this Q & A we will learn a few interesting facts about her and her business.

If your business had a theme song, what would it be and why?

“Definitely ‘Confident’ by Demi Lovato. It captures exactly how I lead — bold, unapologetic, and grounded in purpose. It reflects the power and presence I bring into every space as a woman in business.”Janelle Jacques

What’s the most ‘you’ thing in your workspace?

“My sash and crown from Mrs. Corporate America 2025. It’s not just décor — it’s a daily reminder that I’m her. It represents confidence, resilience, and grace in leadership.” Janelle Jacques

How do you keep your creativity flowing when motivation is low?

“I reset by working out and praying. Movement clears my mind, and prayer re-centers my purpose while getting witty ideas and inventions.” Janelle Jacques

If your business had its own reality show, what would it be called and what would it be about?

“I’d call it ‘Selling New in Orlando.’ It would spotlight the behind-the-scenes of new home sales — the buyer shenanigans, the corporate chaos, and the real-life dynamics of navigating personal life.” Janelle Jacques

Can you share the story behind starting your business and what inspired the leap?

“It all started when I met my husband — we were both in the insurance world and began exchanging business. That collaboration turned into a marriage and a shared vision. We eventually expanded into real estate consulting and founded Essence Financial Group together.”

If your business were a fashion trend, what would it be and why?

“Clothing worn inside out. Because a lot of times, you have to flip a situation inside out to truly understand and solve it. That’s exactly how we approach our consulting work — we go beneath the surface.” Janelle Jacques
